Storytelling Sunday 2

Sian is hosting Storytelling Sunday 2  today - stories in words and pictures, or just pictures.

This month I am sharing a photo:
When Pippa and I were little we both took horse riding lessons. We were entered into a gymkhana at the riding stables and although we didn't win anything we both got a rosette and were so proud of them! Soon after this I was thrown and didn't ride again for about ten years!

    Love the vintage photo, the car looks familiar I think it is a Ford Cortina? We had a navy blue one. Glad the fall didn't put you off completely even if it was a little while before you got back in the saddle.

    You both look so happy in the photograph. I love the matching jackets, so retro! Glad the fall didn't put you off horses. They are lovely animals.

    Where I learnt to ride we got a special rosette for our first fall :-) It was to encourage us to get back on straight away as we only got it if we rode again. The first time is always the worst! Congratulations on winning a rosette as that is far better!

    I've found the rosette! Watch the blog - I intend to do a layout using the photo and the rosette - it was in my 'baby box' that my Mum gave to me when I got married :)

    Oh how fun to have found the rosette - definitely needs to be scrapped along with the photo!

    P.S. I think my younger sister had a coat just like those - made me smile.
