Tidying up and making layouts

I had (please note past tense) loads of scrapbook magazines by the side of my bed. I decided I had to do some tidying up and so went through them all and tore out the layouts I wanted to scraplift and other bits and pieces that interested me. I got rid of about 10 magazines, which felt a bit awful at the time, but I am pleased I have done it now!

Anyway, in doing so, I did find several layouts to scraplift, and went ahead and did this layout based on one by Rachel Elliott a few years back.
I am taking Shimelle's Cover to Cover class, all about organising your albums and have decided that this will be a good layout as the first page in the album relating to my Mum's 70th birthday. I used a rub on from my stash on the little piece of card above the photos and this was my oldest stash on this layout - I got it when I first started scrapbooking and I had never opened the pack!

I have lots of scrapbooking magazines beside the bed too. The pile is threatening to topple! THis is a lovely page and I love to see rub-ons being used. I think they are due for a real come back - before every one we all own disintegrates completely

The layout looks great. Congrats on going through those magazines - I need to do that myself.
