Simply a Moment September

I am a little late, but it's that time of the month again to join in with Alexa's meme to record a moment in your life. To find more moments pop over to her blog here.

It's Wednesday lunchtime and I’m standing behind the tills in Tesco waiting for Brenda to pay for her shopping, standing out of the way with my back to the window.  The sun is shining warmly on me, so nice after all the rain yesterday, but making me overheat as I am wearing a fleece. Each of my arms is dragged down with a shopping bag full of cake ingredients for the next birthday cake. My elbow is sore, I really shouldn’t be carrying heavy bags with it the day after seeing the chiropractor. I place the bags on the floor by my feet. There is a hum of voices and beeps from the till area. People hustle pass me, bags swinging from their arms, or pushing trolleys. A baby looks at me and grins and I grin back – she waves and I wave and then she is gone. Brenda is approaching me now, so I pick up the bags again, debate carrying them in my good arm and decide that would probably make my good arm bad! We only have to walk a little way to the car. ‘All done?’ I ask Brenda.  ‘Yes, let’s go back to work’ she groans and off we go.

Taken for LSNED last week, but I didn't think to take a photo today!

Not late at all, Becky - there isn't a 'late' with Simply A Moment :). Lovely to read your acutely observed moment, and I enjoyed the little things like the baby's grin and wave - how nice she found someone to respond to her. Sorry to hear about the arms and the chiropractor and hoping all will soon be well. I am always delighted to come and read your moment and thank- you so much for sharing it with us!

Hope the arm is feeling better and didn't suffer any ill effects from carrying those bags so soon after chiro.
