SJ Crafts September Kit

As I don't have a regular kit any more, when I see one I fancy on an online shop I treat myself! In September SJ Crafts released this kit - Cut and Paste. I really liked the look of it, so ordered myself one and I wasn't disappointed when it turned up. On Sunday, when we returned from Canterbury I made these two layouts from the kit, only adding a little more washi tape, a Thickers alphabet and some gems/pearls.
The photos are matted on one of the reverse sides of the patterned paper, in fact it is the reverse of the spotty one, which I used a small piece of to put the 'love' word on.
With the second layout, I used up the rest of the sheet of arrow paper and some of the pink card from the kit, along with the cloud paper.
The flowers were cut out of one of the patterned papers - I do love a bit of fussy cutting! I liked the two frames which came with the kit, but decided to use one as an embellishment rather than to frame a photo.

As these two layouts are from two different years, the fact that they use very similar papers won't matter in my albums as they will not be near each other! I still have quite a bit of the kit left, enough to make at least two more layouts. Really good value!

It's lovely - I really like the idea of using the frame as an embellishment.

I like how you've used the frame to hold an embellishment cluster.

I can see why you like it! I especially like that patterned paper with the arrows that you've used so successfully in both layouts!

You've made super use of that kit - and my favourite is the very first one (and what a great flat!). I really like the way you used the little cluster of elements to anchor the photo mat onto the background.
