Firstly, thank you all for your lovely kind words on the passing of my Father-in-law. The funeral was a beautiful, peaceful affair, in his local Church literally just up the driveway and he has been buried in the graveyard overlooking their house where he has lived for over 50 years, so he is still at home in a way.
I will get back into the regular blogging mood again soon, I am sure. I intend to do a post later in the week to link up with Rinda and her Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt and hope to get back to my ‘Me on Monday’ posts in the next couple of weeks.
I’ve done a little bit of scrapbooking over the past couple of weeks. It is strange – when I am really stressed I find that scrapbooking helps me to relax, but when I am really sad I can’t concentrate on what I am doing. I made two layouts and they are ok, but not how I would usually scrap. I will share one here so that this post is a bit more interesting!
Tomorrow night I have Wendy and Sue coming round to scrap – I will probably do my monthly Project Life for August as I haven’t done it yet and it doesn’t take too much brain power. I really want to get back into my scrapping as I had a beautiful kit from Noel Mignon delivered last month and haven’t touched any of it yet and before I know it the September kit will be arriving. Anyway, I feel like I am rambling a bit here, so I will stop for now and hopefully be back with some more coherent posts shortly.

I heard scrapbooking described as "balm" the other day and I thought that was a wonderful word for it..
I totally understand, take all the time you need. We're here when you're ready.
I'm the same, scrapping while sad doesn't work for me, my layouts don't look like mine. X
Becky - I'm so sorry to hear of your family's loss. Take as much time as you need as you all comfort each other. I found I couldn't scrap but could write down notes about stories I wanted to tell while we remembered and celebrated my brother's life.
I totally understand you not feeling like you are quite back with it. I hope you find more creative time helpful in the healing sense.
I find scrapbooking therapeutic so often, but there are other times when I need something different - maybe a long walk in nature. Praying for you and your family as you grieve and begin to get back to normal routines!
Crafting has always been therapeutic for me. During one of the roughest patches, I couldn't read at all, but card making saved me!
