Thank you so much for sharing this journey with me! January is such a bleugh month with nothing going on and not a lot to blog about, so I am pleased that I didn't post these as I went along! Penny and I have a fun weekend coming up soon - more about that another day!

Well, we are on well on the way with this now! Today I would like to share the pages I made for Christmas Day. I did three 'full' pages for the 25th and then I had a pocket where I put several tags with more photos and also a journalling tag with more journalling on.

A happy new year and some more pages

A happy new year to you all! I hope that you had a great celebration. We were fairly quiet - just the four of us at home. We did have fun though, playing Mario Party and Mario Kart on the Wii before watching the countdown on television. We have never been ones for partying on New Year's Eve and so didn't change the habits of a life time! However, we enjoyed ourselves and we were all together, which is the important thing.

With having to work between Christmas and New Year I haven't had much time to scrap, apart from doing my December journal. I have now finished it, but here are days 11 to 17 for the time being as I still have to photograph the remainder!.
A lovely poinsettia bought by Penny and her friends as a thank you to me and Hugh

Penny returned from uni for the holidays and tried on her new top!

A family Christmas meal after a visit to the family in Cornwall - there is hidden journalling on a tag  behind the photo

Breakfast together in the hotel and Penny making a happy face with her food!

Hugh after his minor operation
So, only another 14 pages to photograph and post! I am taking a long hard look this year at how long I am spending on my computer - too much time I think. I am thinking of posting only once a week on my blog and limiting myself to one day a week of catching up on blog posts too. I really want to devote myself to creating more pages and cooking and spending more time with Hugh (and Penny when she is home) and giving myself time to go out and 'do' things. So, although I have really enjoyed posting so frequently please only look out for about one post a week from now on! I hope you will continue to read and if there is something special to post about I will always find the time for an extra post!

JYC Catch up!

A bit photo heavy, but here are days 4 through to 10! More to follow soon!
Slowly putting up the decorations - today it was the lights

Inside this envelope is the 'round robbin' letter I sent this year and I have also been putting into it the letters I have been receiving.

Peace or panic? Peace! I am a list maker and so don't panic over Christmas, as long as I have a list!

Wendy came to scrap for the afternoon - by candlelight as we had a power cut! Also put up our new outdoor tree

Penny made the mincemeat today

Mince pies were made and presents were wrapped

I would like a co-ordinated tree, but then again I love my 'mish mash' tree as each ornament holds a memory
Thanks for looking and I will be back soon with some more pages!

Journal Your Christmas 2012 - 1st to 3rd

I am going to try to keep up with posting my pages as I go along - hoping to upload them here in batches of 3 or 4!

My Manifesto/Introduction Page
I am not going to go along with all the prompts as I have done that a couple of times before. I will do the prompts if they are appropriate to my day, otherwise I will be journalling about what I am up to in December. I love doing that, it is so nice to look back on.
My page for 2nd December

My page for 3rd December
Looking forward to Friday when I finish work early as my friend Wendy is coming round to have some lunch and then we are going to spend the afternoon scrapbooking. Can't wait!

Journal Your Christmas 12

So tomorrow starts one of my favourite times of the year. Journal Your Christmas with Shimelle. This is my fifth year of doing this and although I don't stick to Shimelle's prompts all the time now, just having the prompts delivered to my inbox every day reminds me to complete my journal!

This year I have repurposed a hardbacked book which Hugh was going to through out.

I am doing it landscape and the pages are about 6 x 9 inches, which will allow me to use full size photos this year which I wasn't able to do with the smaller journal I used last year. I have prepared all the pages and they are ready to have Christmas paper stuck upon them!

I have also got ready all the date labels.

And here is a closer look.
So, I am all set to go and really looking forward to it! We have a few things coming up over the Christmas period, so I will have a lot to journal about!
