Final round up for the Scavenger Hunt

So here we are, the end of summer and the end of Rinda's 2015 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt. And here are my photos! All 21 plus the three substitutes.

The tent was not what I really wanted, but the closest I could get!

And the flags - oh the flags! I never did see all three on one flag pole, but rather liked this one I saw in France. And the people in the same clothing? Again, this was the best I could do, but it is a lovely photo of me and Penny so I am not worried!

And my favourite photo from all of these? Yes, it is this one of me with the sign! I really enjoyed making the sign and am using it as an introductory page in my album before I scrap all these photos!
Thank you once again Rinda for hosting the hunt. It is always such fun and my whole family join in and this year my good scrapbooking friend (who doesn't blog) even joined in and we were able to hunt for things together when we had our days out.

Do hop on over to Rinda's blog where you will find the Linky to everyone elses finds for this year. And if you didn't join in - why not!? It is such great fun!

Linking up with Rinda for August

A little bit late, but better late than never, I am linking up with Rinda for her Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt.

I have now got all the items on the list - the ones I was missing are below:

Number 10 - a college or university. This is where I am now working, so was easy to get!
I already had the next two, but prefer these photos which I've taken later in the summer:
A metal bridge
A cellular tower or television satellite dish
I have also been taking photos of the substitutes if I came upon them and on a day out with Wendy spotted this lady using her umbrella as a sunshade.
And finally number 21 -  A photograph of you with a sign reading "2015 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt". I had great fun creating this and using up a lot of Thickers!

I'll be back in September for a final round up! Do hop on over to Rinda's blog where you will find the linky so you can go and see how other people have interpreted the prompts.

Linking up with Rinda

Hello! Today I am linking up with Rinda and her Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt. WARNING!! Photo heavy post!

I have lots of photos from the list which I took whilst on holiday in the Languedoc region of France, so here goes!

2. An ornate door knocker - I spotted this as we were walking around Mirepoix and thought it was perfect!

3. A person walking a dog (or other animal) - again in Mirepoix - Penny spotted this lady and went up to her and stroked this huge dog!
 4. People playing a board game or card game - not exactly a board game, but close enough and being played by Hugh and Penny in her room with the fan blowing on them as it was so hot!
 5. Architectural columns - these lovely columns were in Mirepoix which is a lovely medieval town.
9.  A tent - this is as close as I have got so far! It was at a ruined castle and we sat under it to watch a video in French all about the castle - we understood about 1/10th of it!
12. A public restroom, bathroom, or toilet - I had two of these to choose from and have gone with this one. Hugh and I were exploring a tiny village called Camon and we had walked past this when I suddenly screeched to a halt and ran back to take the photo when I remembered it was on the list!
 13. A merry-go-round or carousel - I have to include both here! The real one was in Mirepoix and the beautiful toy one was in the window of a shop in Carcassonne.

 14. A traffic signal - this one I have already done, but I found another one which I prefer in Carcassonne. Carcassonne is basically pedestrianized, but there are a few vehicles allowed to drive around and they have to obey the signals - if they can see them!
15. A flag pole with at least three flags on it - this one I am struggling with and this is the closest I have come. Taken through the car windscreen as we were driving back to the villa.
 16. A panoramic view, taken while standing someplace high in the air - this is one of my favourite photos of the whole holiday. It was taken in Tarascon on the hill which had the bell tower on it.

 17. At least two people wearing matching outfits or uniforms - still really looking for this one, but Penny and I looked pretty similar in these outfits!
18. An overloaded truck, car, bicycle or other vehicle - again taken from the car as we were driving along!
20. A natural body of water - this is Lac Montebel which was about 20 minutes from where we were staying. It was a pretty overcast day, so I have oomphed up the colour using Instagram!
If you find something on the list too difficult, you may substitute one of the following items for any one item on the list, except for Item #21:
Alternative A: People eating outside - the family having lunch by the pool

Alternative C: A rocking chair - seen on a stall at Mirepoix market.
So, I have very nearly completed the hunt! Only a couple more to find for me - number 10. A college or university; number 20, A photograph of you with a sign reading "2015 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt" and possibly a substitute for numbers 17 and 15. Still got a little while to find them, so I will be keeping my eyes peeled.

Do hop on over to Rinda's blog where everyone is linking up today and drop in on some others to find how they have interpreted the prompts.

Rhinda’s 2015 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt

Today I am linking up with Rinda with her Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt.

So are you joining in this year? I joined in last year and had such great fun! The whole family ended up taking part, with Ben finding me a mascot in Seattle and Penny finding me a waterfall at Niagara. Hugh was also a great help whilst we were on holiday, pointing out suitable photo opportunities.

I have made a start and  my first photo opportunity, which was, suitably enough, for item number 1, was a bouquet of flowers. I was in Tesco's shopping and noticed all the bouquets sitting there just waiting for me to photograph them!
I then left work and was given two bouquets, so now I have a choice!

My next find was whilst I was sitting on a bench outside the station waiting to meet Penny. I glanced up and realised I could see the British Telecom building with a cellular tower/satellite dishes on it.
It's not the best photo, so if I find better I will replace it.

My third find was on the way to college. I got off the bus and realised that the bus stopped just before a set of traffic signals.
My fourth and fifth finds were both on the way/at Hever Castle on Sunday. I turned round in the car to find Penny plugged into her iPod and playing games on her phone - she caught me looking and smiled!
And finally, on my way out of Hever Castle I suddenly realised that there was a wonderful ticket booth.
I do have one extra photo, which I took at Tropical Wings. It is of what we, in the UK, call a tortoise. Will it do for the turtle on the list?
I will be adding my photos to the tab at the top of this page, which is where I had my 2014 photos, as well as adding them as posts to my blog. I will probably continue to post them to Instagram too, where you can find me as beckyg1 – please ask me to add you if you are not already a follower. There is also a Facebook page, which is very active.

So, if you haven’t taken part, what is it all about? Well, the best idea is for you to hop on over to Rinda’s blog where you will find all the details.

All it leaves me to say is have fun with your photography over this summer!
