Warning! Picture heavy post!

As I said on Friday, I had the most wonderful birthday and then the lovely time continued. It started with my birthday last Thursday. I was thoroughly spoiled at work - I had a lovely card and they had done a collection and given me a nice little envelope of money (feel some stash buying coming on!). My manager, Yvonne,  bought me a lovely bracelet and Brenda gave me a beautiful bead for my Lovelinks bracelet. We had a buffet lunch for our little group in my office (missed Elaine, one of our post ladies, she is off with a broken shoulder :( get better soon!).
Sitting at my desk - with an empty plate!

When I got home the rest of the family were already there and I was given a chair in the garden (it was a very warm day) and they gave me my presents.
Here is Hugh giving me a birthday kiss!

Once present opening had been done we were off to Hollywood Bowl at Festival Leisure in Basildon. The last time I bowled was about 7 years ago! I wasn't very good then and nothing had changed! We had great fun though and played three games - all of which Hugh won! He was a little insufferable, but we let him get away with it.
Not a very good technique!

We then wandered over to Frankie and Benny's where I had a lovely pasta dish with chicken and prawns.

This was followed by an East Coast Sundae - yum!
Hopefully not too many calories!
Friday was a relatively calm day, but on Saturday, after doing some shopping for our holiday, we went over to my Mum and Dad's for a birthday tea. This has become a bit of a tradition now -whether you are a child or adult you have to have a birthday tea, at either Mum's, mine or Pippa's. Mum prepared a lovely spread and I had the same cake as Penny - French Fancies piled up on each other! Pippa was there with her family (except Del who was on duty). They gave me a lovely t-shirt from Per Una .
My youngest niece, Emily, helping me with opening my present.

Pippa had bought the girls a bubble sword each - we all had great fun playing with them!
And here I am blowing out my candles!

Lots of happy smiling faces, just the way a birthday should be :)
