Christmas booking number 2!

Apart from looking forward to going to the theatre at Christmas, we have also booked to do another Christmas market, having thoroughly enjoyed going to Cologne last year.

This year we have decided to go to:

I am really excited and as you can see, have already bought the Rough Guide Book and map to start my planning! There is only one draw back and that is that the flight is at 7am on the Saturday morning from Stansted, so we will have to be up extremely early! However, it means we will be in Prague by mid morning and have until about 8pm on the Sunday night to go sightseeing and do the two markets.

Hugh has been to Prague before on business and really liked it. He didn't get much time to do any sightseeing though, so he is excited about it too! What a lot of photo/scrapping opportunities there will be lol!

Oh my - I love Prague! And what a beautiful time to go! We spent about a month there in summer - very crowded, but still amazing.
Some of my highlights:
*the Jewish Cemetery (get there early when it's quiet and contemplative);
*the Mucha Museum (if you love art deco stuff);
and an off-beat bar called The Boulder Bar(indoor rock climbing and a Czech-born Aussie bartender.

One of our friends travels all over for business. Prague is his favorite city! I did two of those really early morning flights this summer, one requiring getting up at 3 am. It was worth it! Our flight to California next month leaves here at six am, but we'll be in CA by lunchtime (their time.)

I remember reading your posts last year about the Christmas Markets and loving the photos. Once again I am jealous that we don't have these in the States (around here anyway) We have some Christmas Bazaars but nothing like this :(
