A bargain!

I was very lucky at Christmas and had some lovely presents, including from Ben this, which he told me he purchased from TKMaxx
I was absolutely thrilled with this and said to him that he shouldn't have spent so much on me, what with him being a poor penniless student! He then presented me with another large, wrapped box, which when I opened it contained this!
He then told me that in fact they were a real bargain and he couldn't stop at buying me just one! I haven't used either of them yet, I just keep looking at them! I think I will keep one to use for my holiday to Cyprus this year.

Anyway, Ben came home last weekend to fill in his paperwork for his job and whilst we were chatting told me that in TK Maxx in Plymouth they had the sets he had bought me on sale - did I want him to get me another one? Did he really think I would say no! I said yes, and then had another thought. There is a TKMaxx at Lakeside - could I justify a trip over there on the Saturday afternoon? Yes, definitely! (It would mean that Ben wouldn't have to keep them in his flat in Plymouth until Easter as well!). So last Saturday afternoon, Ben, Rachel, Hugh and I took a trip to Lakeside, and (ahem) I spent a little bit of money.

I got this ...
and this ...
They were both 12x12 albums and papers and at this price ...
how could I not!

However, I was then seduced by this one too ...
and this one (feeling embarrassed now!)
which were both 8x8! They were only ...
each, so for £18 I got an awful lot of stash! I really don't think that I need to buy anything else for a long time now! (Please don't remind me that I am going to the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Fair at Alexandra Palace in April with my cropping buddies!). I definitely don't need anymore albums. I have told Ben that when he moves out a big bookcase is moving into his bedroom for me to keep my albums on!

With the shopping, the celebration meal and having my parents over for Sunday dinner last week, I didn't actually get to do any scrapbooking. However, last night I actually sat down after we had eaten and completed two layouts, both based on sketches from Shimelle's site.

This is from the sketch on 19th January. I rotated it to use a portrait photo and used up papers from an old kit - really not sure where they are from at all!

I also did this layout from her sketch this week.

For this one I used a Sarah's Cards kit which has been sitting in one of my RUB's for a while now!

Right, off to do another few layouts and use up some of my plentiful stash! Hope you have a good weekend!
