Busy weekend ..

scrapbooking, that is! Well, I did do some housework as well, but got it done early and so managed to do three layouts on Saturday, which is almost a record for me.

I am now sitting in the conservatory, at my crafting desk, with New Moon on the tv and looking forward to another relaxing afternoon.

So, what did I create yesterday? Well, I loved the sketch that Shimelle put up here and so did that one first, using a collage photo I had from when we took Olivia to Barleylands back in July.

I used the August Peechy Keen kit from Sarah's Cards for all of these layouts - just added a bit of extra card when I needed it.

The words 'Get-set' were actually at the top of the alphabet sheet and I cut them out to use on this layout. I used the letters with their middles as I really like the look of them this way.

This was a very simple layout, I just cut into a couple of the flowers to lay them over the photo and then punched some butterflies to pop onto the layout and decorated them with pearls.
This layout is shamelessly scraplifted from one in the designer booklet from the August kit. The original layout was by Jen Naulis. I loved the look of her layout and was very pleased with how mine turned out.

So, I have completed three layouts with this kit and there is still enough left to do another one! That only leaves me with September, October, November and December to use before January's drops through the door at the end of the week!

Hope you are having a good weekend too.

Gorgeous layouts! I love the flowers - the ones that you've overlapped the photo with, and the dimensional ones on the last layout, too :-)

You're the next recipient of 'Still Missing' in Sian's Pass The Book project! Congratulations :-) Please could you send me your mailing details? My email is ispeakmelsh {at} hotmail {dot} com x

Great job! I love the wheelie layout especially. I had a scrapbooking day last weekend and still have my stuff packed from it. So maybe I'll sneak in a page this weekend.

I think scraplifting and card casing is a very intelligent thing to do. I made quite a few cards this weekend in anticipation of upcoming birthdays, and nearly all of them were lifted from somewhere. It gives me a chance to try out some new techniques that will certainly show up later on more creative endeavors. I, too, love your dimensional flowers.

They look great. Love the simplicity of "wheely fun".
