Mother's Day and a Layout

I had a lovely Mother's Day this year. Breakfast was my favourite treat, croissants and jam with a mug of hot chocolate. Penny bought me a lovely Nivea shower set, plus a bookmark and a Bailey's 'Tipple and Treat' (a small glass, a miniature of Baileys and 4 chocolates). Ben gave me a lovely card with a present to follow!

After lunch the four of us went for a walk to Norsey Woods - our favourite place for a walk.
It wasn't very sunny and it wasn't very warm, but we had a lovely time and actually explored parts of the woods that we hadn't seen before.
There were some very pretty spring flowers carpeting the floor of the woods - I'm not a flower expert, so I am afraid to say I cannot tell you what they are!

Ben hung off a bendy branch and so of course Hugh had to have a go as well!
We crossed the little stream that runs through the woods two or three times and Penny took this photo of me with my men.
I feel the cold so much and I was very muffled up, with a jumper, a fleece and then my coat! By the time we were nearly back at the car my blood had begun to circulate round my body and I was quite hot and had to take off the coat and fleece!
Another view of the woods
When we returned home we had a cream tea, which was lovely! I had made the scones earlier in the day and the jam and clotted cream was a present from Ben's girlfriend, Rachael.

I did a little scrapbooking this weekend, but not much due to Ben returning from uni (with his 8 loads of washing!) and getting the utility room ready for the new boiler to be put in. The work on that started today - we have no central heating for a few days now, but at least we have hot water so we can wash and do washing!

Anyway, this is the layout I did. Another one for my Prague album.
This was based on Shimelle's sketch for the JBS Online Crop Party Challenge back at the beginning of March. I didn't get it done then, but I have a little pile of sketches on my desk which I am working my way through!

That's a beautiful page Becky - it really conjures up a flavour of what I think Prague looks like (tho I've never been)

It sounds as if you had a lovely family day!
