A short interlude!
When we arrived back last weekend, we decided to take it easy on the Sunday (apart from washing, ironing etc!) and I did get some time to do some scrapbooking. I am working on my Christmas photos at the moment!
I have had various sketches etc sitting on my desk for a while to use and this one is based on a Shimelle sketch, although for the life of me now I can't find the sketch I used!
Now this one came from the Glitter Girl episode on 21st March - I liked the idea of using up my scraps along the top of the photos. I've got so much Christmas paper and yet I only ever scrap about 4 pages each year! This year I must not buy any more Christmas paper!
This is based on the Starting Points of 26th March. Again, I was able to pile up some layers of papers to get them used!
And this last one is actually New Year's Day, so no Christmas papers used! I delved into the odds I had from a Sarah's Cards kit and used them along with some other bits and pieces I had. This is based on Shimelle's sketch of the week for 23rd March. The journalling in the pocket is below:
Well, I enjoyed creating these pages and I am looking forward to having some time to create over this weekend. Hugh and I are off out shopping today - new prescription sunglasses for Hugh, his anniversary present to buy (a new pair of binoculars) and some new trainers for him too! We are now on the countdown to our road trip to California - I'll tell you more about that another day! What are you up to this weekend?

OOOhh Becky!...so much to comment on today..the LOs are fab, and love how you've used up so many scraps! Is the anniversary soon?..if so Congrats!..I've gone green with envy at your mention of a California road trip..and lastly,glad you're enjoying the book! Oh- and I'm hoping to get a few more Shimelle pages done over the weekend!

I like your second one in particular with those strips of coordinating paper along the top; great way to use up scraps!
Wonderful layouts. We've spent the day at an antique market, running errands, visiting a friend in the hospital & having my parents over for a BBQ dinner. Should have some down time after church tomorrow to putter in my craft room.
A lot of ferrying kids around for us this weekend! I love the way you can scrapbook fast and furious and with such terrific results Becky. That's a talent!
The layouts look great - love your comment about not buying Christmas paper this year. :) Can't wait to hear about the California trip - what places are you going? We've been there oodles of times - John's parents used to live in Orange County. Would you believe this past weekend we spent finishing up the last of the stuff from the Las Vegas trip. Now everything is clean & put away waiting for some nice weather if it ever comes back. :)
