This year and last year

I am scrapping photos from both last year and this year at the moment. I took so many photos last year that I didn't get scrapped what I wanted to before the year ended! I am only up to May so far!
This layout is made with the kit I made up following Shimelle's March layout ideas. I also used her sketch to complete the layout. The photos are from last year, on our silver wedding anniversary.
I have had the hearts in my stash for ages - they are chipboard and covered them in matching patterned paper.

This second layout is with photos from this year.
I used some bits left over from the Wear Crafts kit and then dug in my stash to complete it. I had cut the circles out of the paper to use on another layout and liked the look of the paper layered over another. I thought that it echoed the middle photo.
Lovely long Bank Holiday weekend coming up this weekend and Story telling Sunday. I need to go and find a precious to write about. I have an idea, but it entails some heavy lifting to get at it!

I hope you get that heavy lifting accomplished :)

I'm taking tips for the scrapping of Silver anniversaries and I love that top page.

They both look great Becky but I think I like the 2nd one just a tiny bit more. It's probably the colours. :) Good luck getting your last year layouts done. I hate to say how many years I've got still to do.

Both layouts are gorgeous

Both are beautiful, at least partially because of the emotion involved. I have my photo for my precious, but not the story done yet.

I don't often use shapes for photos, but I like the circle one a lot. Great photos of you and Hugh on the anniversary layout.

Both very attractive to look at, your pages, and covering the chipboard heart makes it so pretty. Do take care with the heavy lifting!

I like both pages - Wookie & I celebrate our 25th next year. Really enjoyed the serendipity of the circles echoing the photo and being in a scrap :)
