Brenda, my colleague at work, will be celebrating her golden wedding anniversary in December with her husband George. They are holding a party and we have been invited. They said no presents, but of course I can't go empty handed! I was wracking my brains for what to get them when Penny suggested doing a scrapbook page for them! Duh! Why is she so clever?!
So I was very sneaky! Brenda wanted some help making her invitations, so I suggested she brought some wedding photos into work which I could scan in for her and we could work on the invites at lunchtime. Little does she know that I then chose my two favourites and printed them out to use myself!
I did lots of fussy cutting of the butterflies and flowers and found some lovely pearl brads to add as accents.
To finish it off I bought a deep frame, which at the moment is unpainted so that they can colour it to match whichever room they decide to put it in.
Brenda is a card maker and scrapbooker herself, so I am hoping that she will like this! And just in case you are wondering, she doesn't read my blog, so I am quite safe posting this here and now!

I love your clever way of getting hold of a photo. She'll love it.
That's such a thoughtful gift to make :). Your subterfuge paid off handsomely!
