Getting the needle and thread out

One of the classes in Glitter Girl's Scrapbook Survival Guide talked about what to do to make a photo special on a page and she suggested stitching. As I hadn't done any stitching for a while I thought I would break out the thread for this page.

I am finally getting caught up with last year's photos! This is our walk on Christmas Eve and I am currently scrapping Christmas Day.

I had an Amy Tangerine stitching stencil which came in a kit I bought 2nd hand from UKScrappers and so I got that out and used it for the arrows, but drew the heart freehand.

I really enjoyed doing the stitching on this page - I must remember to do it on more pages as I find it very relaxing (although I dislike sewing fabric)!
Apart from scrapping last Christmas, I am busy getting my journal ready for JYC this year. I am also taking part in 'Your December Story' which I am going to include in my JYC for a different perspective this year. My JYC for the past couple of years has been a bit Project Life like, but I will still be using Shimelle's prompts when they are appropriate. What are you up to at the moment?

See you on Sunday for the last of Sian's Story Telling Sunday 3 stories!

I bet scrapping last Christmas is helping you look forward to this Christmas. I can't believe how close it is already. Love your stitching...

..and I'll see you on Sunday!

I think the stitching adds to the cozy feel of the page. Nicely done.

It looks lovely Becky! Boy that close to having last year done - I don't think I've done anything of last year's. I'm always amazed at how much you get done and yet work too.
