This past weekend, I have been joining in with the Frosty Festivities 2013 Blog event over at Jennifer Grace Creates. If you haven't seen any of the posts, do hop on over, there is so much inspiration there!
I created this layout having read this post about piling things up in the middle of the page and this post about adding a little sparkle.
This paper had been in my Christmas stash for a year - the snowflakes are stitched onto it and I just didn't know what to do with it! However, by putting one photo in the middle and then piling up the embellishments in the middle of the page, I got it to work. The embellishments were all cut from free papers I have got from magazines over the years. I then edged them in Stickles. I also used stickles in the centre of four of the snowflakes and to completely fill the remaining two.
The letters are 'do it yourself' Thickers and are actually covered in green glitter, but in the photo they don't look sparkly!
I have so many ideas buzzing round in my head now having spent the weekend reading Jennifer's blog! Hope to be able to do some of them and share them on here.

The perfect way to use that paper....love all the 'piled up' embellishments.
Love the idea of "piling up" embellishments. Your page looks so festive!
What a lovely page - glad the weekend got you buzzing :-)
Lots of glittery and frosty fun here - a great use of the stitched page.
Such a lovely layout. I missed the frosty Festivities weekend as I was busy but will stop by to catch up.
it's lovely that the weekend inspired you to make this gorgeous layout x
Your cluster/piled up embellishments looks great & work perfect with that paper - great job!
Love it and you were so resourceful!
This layout is so festive and lovely! I really like how you edged the cut-shapes with stickles, it makes them look so special! Thanks for joining in! Jennifer x
It looks so nice and Christmasy (sp?). I haven't heard of stickles - off to check that out.
