We returned from Wales on the Saturday of the Bank Holiday weekend, which meant that once I had caught up on the jobs I had some time for scrapping!
Before we went away I had made up a kit from my existing stash, inspired by the Counterfeit Kit Challenge for April . I found it quite fun looking for bits and pieces and I am enjoying using it and using some stash up that has been sitting around, unloved, for quite a while.
This was also made with my homemade kit.
I experimented with some texture paste and a stencil to create the hexagons. Once I had applied it to the page I let it dry and then swiped some them with different coloured distress inks.
I am quite pleased with the effect and may do this again!
I actually managed to complete 6 layouts altogether, but will save the others to share at a later date. Thanks for looking!

I do like that texture paste effect! I've never tried anything like that - looks like it would be a great addition to pages about visiting "Roman stuff" too.
Oooh! I never thought to use embossing paste on a layout. It looks fabulous!
I love the bee hive look. Great job.

That's some very nifty work with those hexagons, Becky - don't they look great? I can't believe you have made six layouts in a couple of days - your are the Scrapbooking Queen!
The hexagons turned out really great! Well done on getting 6 layouts done. I don't think I've managed 1 this year.
Yeah on getting jobs done and having time to play. I like using texture paste but haven't done so in years... thanks for the reminder :)
