Refresh your Craft and Soul Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! Hopefully you have arrived here via Annie's blog as part of Jennifer Grace's Refresh Your Craft and Soul Blog Hop. Please read on through my post to find out how you can win the prize below.
But first of all, here is my contribution to the hop!

Jennifer asked us to create something loosely based on her word for the year, which is' Cleanse'. This could also include water themes, fresh air and outdoors etc. There are more details and ideas on her blog.

I decided to go on a water theme, and had the exact papers in my stash and I knew exactly which photo I wanted to work with - one from our trip to Universal Studios for Penny's 18th birthday (5 years ago now!). The papers are from Pink Paislee 'Hello Sunshine' collection.
Having gathered all my supplies I decided that I wanted to make it a very layered layout and remembered one I had done a while ago( from a class by Heidi Sonoboul) which had triangles as a background. I decided to go with hexagons this time and cut out a load of them on my Cricut.
I then very patiently stuck the hexagons onto my background card, which I had also layered onto two other pieces of card. I left the space blank where my photo was going to be - no point in pasting them down if they are going to be covered up!
My desk didn't look too cluttered which was remarkable!
And here is the finished layout. I love the puffy stickers which came with this collection. If you click on the photo you can read the journalling. I have to say that we were absolutely soaked through having been on this ride - very refreshing! Fortunately the sun was out and we soon dried off!
Thank you for reading this far! Before I tell you about the prize you can win on Jennifer's blog, I would like to offer you the chance to win a little prize from me. Quite a while ago I was lucky to win a prize from Sian and it included two file folders. I made one up and took it on holiday with me to Cyprus and used it as a holiday journal. I had another which I made up the same, but have never used and I would like to offer it to one lucky commenter. All you have to do is leave a comment below. All comments must be left by Monday 9th June at 10pm BST. This competition is open internationally, so anyone can enter.

And so on to Jennifer's prize. If you comment on all the blogs in the hop, finishing at jennifergracecreates to let Jennifer know you've been all the way around, then you'll be in with a chance to win a refreshing prize pack featuring Glitz 77 and My Mind's Eye Izzy items, total worth over £25!

All entries must be received by Monday the 9th of June at 10.59pm BST.

Your next stop along the hop is lil gik at 'feed your craft'. Please hop on over to her blog next and don't forget to leave your comment!

Thank you so much for stopping by and remember to keep watching Jennifer's blog this weekend for lots of 'refreshing' inspiration!

I love the hexagonal pattern. It seems like a fresh idea as I have only ever seen hexagons used in a honeycomb sort of pattern.

Oh my gosh, Becky - those hexagons are fantastic and your layout looks great. I am so glad I read your blog today as I have been wanting to make a hexagon quilt block and not looking forward to cutting all the templates by hand. What a great idea to use the Cricut to do that - that's exactly what I plan to do, so thanks for the inspiration!

Now there's patience for you! I'm blown away by the way this has come together. And the great thing about a project you take time over like this is it gives you time to relive the memories as you work. Love that.
