Doctor Who

When we on holiday in Wales last April (can't believe that is a year ago now!) we took a day to travel to Cardiff and visit the Doctor Who Experience.  This was mainly a treat for Penny as she is a huge Doctor Who fan.
However, it was a great experience which all four of us enjoyed! It started with a 'walk through' where we went on a mission with The Doctor and 'travelled' in the tardis. We even got to use the controls!
After the walk through there were two parts to the exhibition. Downstairs there were mannequins of all the Doctors in their costumes as well as two or three versions of the tardis and display cases showing things like the sonic screwdriver (if you have never watched this programme you will now be completely mistified!). There were also mannequins of the Doctors' assistants.
Upstairs consisted mainly of other characters who had appeared and of course lots of the 'baddies'.
This display made us chuckle as Hugh does love his Punch and Judy!
We must have spent a good two to three hours there and it was really good value for money. I have watched recent series of the programme with Penny, and both Hugh and I watched it when we were children so it made sense to us. Ben had never seen an episode but at the end admitted that although he thought he was going to be bored he really enjoyed it too. For Penny it was the highlight of the holiday!

I know a small boy who would be in seventh heaven at this! he has his own collection of sonic screwdrivers.

It always feels great to get a special event or highlight scrapbooked

Looks like a great day out for all ages, and that little Dalek and the Tardis are perfect for your page.

Sounds like a super day out for the 4 of you. Don't know if Penny is interested but just heard Lego is bringing out a kit or something like that for Dr. Who.

Believe it or not, I've never seen Dr. Who, but it looks like y'all had FUN & your layouts turned out great!

Eastercon is in Cardiff in 2017 and the Dr Who exhibition was one of the draws they mentioned.

Wookie and I used to watch many years ago but neither kid liked it so it slipped. Glad you all enjoyed it though.
