Remembering last summer

I am working through some page kits I put together using some quite old stash. The background papers for both these layouts had been troubling me - I really couldn't see how to use them and that is why they had been languishing in my stash for so long. Anyway, I found some photos and they just gave me the push I needed to work out how to use them.
The layout above was also inspired by the challenge on the Facebook page I am on to use tags and twine from your stash.
And so I managed to use up a few more bits and pieces from my stash and I am really quite pleased with the results. However I don't think I will buy papers like these again, even though I really like the look of them, I just struggle too much with them!

You've done a fab job with them Becky and both pages look great. The beach huts really go with the papers on the first one. I'm part of a sketch challenge group on FB if you like sketches - just search "sketchy scrappers" if you're interested.

I like both of these very much! I love the soft colors of the backgrounds that make the rest of your elements pop right out.

You've used them beautifully though

You've made them work, with panache too. They're so tempting, aren't they? Sometimes they are more fun to buy than to use
