Spotlight Saturday

Spotlight on Scrapbooking

Last weekend we had a 'stay at home' type of weekend! We did more jobs around the house and then had some time to indulge in our hobbies. Penny went to wrestling, Hugh worked on his model railway (actually building a locomotive at the moment, not laying track or building scenery) and I did some scrapbooking!

My first layout was created with a kit I made up myself. I love how the colours go so well with the photo and also that I have got to use up some embellishments that have been in my stash for simply years! This layout records Hugh's birthday last year - it was a rather low key event as it was very soon after his Mum had passed away. However I still needed to get it recorded!

My second layout was again made with a kit I had created - I'm having fun putting kits together. I've taken a couple of online classes with Nicole Jones and also Inkie Quill (Adele Toomey). That wheelbarrow had been worrying me as I wasn't sure how I was going to use it!

My last two layouts are actually a double page spread and document more of our fantastic holiday to Mauritius last November.

I had a lot of fun creating these last weekend! Hope you had a good weekend and that you can enjoy this lovely long Bank Holiday Weekend we have this weekend. Are you up to anything fun! We are, but I'll tell you about that next Saturday!

Saturday scrapbooking? Perfect! I'm loving the red background especially: it really asks us to look closer.
