Layouts and Day Out

Had a very productive Friday and Saturday evening - firstly  did my Pencillines layout for this week:

And then I did a layout based on one of the sketches in the Pencil Line book:

The journalling for this one is in the envelope and tells the story of how once we were on the train Hugh put the ticket under his hat, on the table for safe keeping. He then put the hat on his head and managed to scoop up the ticket too. When the inspector came to punch the ticket he couldn't find it anywhere and was really panicking! Eventually he found it under his hat on his head and we still laugh about it to this day. The reason I did this layout was Hugh opened his old wallet last weekend and found the ticket in it and that was from  1996. Still it was safe!! Doing this layout meant I just had to go out and spend a bit of money! I got a lovely Martha Stewart train punch, the papers you can see and an Imagines train stamp, which I was very pleased with. I stamped the trains, embossed them and then cut them out and raised one of them up. Really pleased wtih both my layouts this week.

Well, today we are off to my sister's for Sunday lunch which I am really looking forward to. My camera battery is all charged and I have my tripod too, so hoping to get some group shots - have to see how the day pans out! Hope you are all having a good weekend too.
