Worth a thousand words

Back in November I was the lucky winner of a Shimelle class from Rinda over on Gallorganico.

I chose to take 'Worth a thousand words' which was, I think, the only class that I haven't yet taken! I printed out all the prompts so that I could have a good read of them all and inwardly digest them!

This weekend I sat down and decided to complete one of the album suggestions that was in the class. THe idea is that the pictures do the talking and there is minimal journalling. I have to say, that on the whole, my scrapbooks tend to go in the other direction and I like to include a lot of journalling on a layout, so this was quite different for me.

I had decided quite a while ago that I wanted to make a mini album for Hugh on the construction of his model train shed. In fact, I knew that I was going to do this as I specifically took photos during its construction and had a nice little collection of 'construction' papers sitting in my stash store waiting to be used!

So, here goes!

Hugh was really pleased with it and it is now sitting on the coffee table for all visitors to have a look at! So, many thanks Rinda for giving me the class - I thoroughly enjoyed making this album and there are still quite a few ideas that I can use in the future.

The pictures in this one really tell the story,Becky. I love how you've sized the photos to cover the entire page.

I love the whole page photos! I don't think to do it often and it's so effective! What a great mini!

Hi Becky ~ Just catching up over here. You have been a busy scrapper! I LOVE the book you made for Hugh and the fact that you photographed it along the way with the intent to make an album. Well done, you! This will be a treasured keepsake for years to come. xo

Yea! So glad you used your free pass. I love the coach's gift album I made in that class.
