Storytelling Sunday 2

Sian is hosting Storytelling Sunday 2  today - stories in words and pictures, or just pictures. This month I have a couple of pictures to share and not very many words.

This is my Dad with his mother, my Nana. Nana would be 104 this year on 13th February if she was still with us, which is why I have chosen these photos - Happy Birthday Nana. She lived well into her 90's and although her last few years were in an old people's home, I have many happy memories of my time spent with her and Grandad.

PS - don't you just love my Dad's quiff?!

Hop on over to Sian's blog where you will find links to many more wonderful photos and stories to go with them.

Wonderful photos & the perfect time to showcase them as you remember your Nana. My Grandma has been gone 10 years and I miss her so much.

My Daddy recently gave me some old photos to scan, so I might have to share some of those in a future Storytelling Sunday.

What wonderful photos! I just bought a scanner today so I can start going through the boxes of photos my parents left us.

Fabulous photo's! That quiff is a stunner too...my Mum-In-Law used to brush my boys hair up into a quiff if she was ever here for bath-time, which thankfully was not too often!!!! :)

Lovely photos - so redolent of their age. :) I remember quiffs too, and I have a photo of my brother in a coat very like that with little velvet bits on the collar and pocket flaps! A lovely smiling lady ...

I adore seeing old photos, and it's the stories behind them that are lovely, and also you just feel you get a glimpse into what their lives were like :)

How lovely Becky! Any story which includes old photos is a story that I'm going to love. 13th Feb must have been an interesting day for a birthday - do you think she she used to wonder wether the postman would be bringing a card or two the next day too?

Thanks for sharing your words and pictures with us today
