A layout to share

When I saw this kit for sale on Wear Crafts I couldn't resist as it was so full of butterflies! When the kit arrived it was scrummy and very reasonably priced! I copied the first layout almost exactly. I just loved cutting out the butterflies and the flowers from the 12x12 sheet - I find it very therapeutic.

I knew immediately which photo I wanted to use. I had recently had my hair reshaped and Penny had taken a nice photo of me. I turned the photo black and white as otherwise the colours would have clashed horribly with the papers! It was nice to create a layout and not worry that the papers might not go with the photo - in fact to actually chose the photo to go with the papers rather than the way I usually do it which is to get the photos and then find coordinating papers.

Anyway, here is my layout.

I bought the extended kit which came with some extra cardstock, so I am making another couple of layouts with the patterned paper which was left over. I will share them with you once they are finished! We are very busy decorating our hall, landing and stairs at the moment, which is leaving me no time for scrapbooking which is a shame. When we are finished we are so exhausted we are just collapsing in front of the television! What are you watching at the moment? We have been loving Death in Paradise, World Without End, the new series of NCIS and Mr Selfridge. Unfortunately a couple of those are coming to an end or have finished, so we shall have to find something new to watch!

This weekend, although there is still decorating to do, we are popping to see my Mum and Dad as we haven't seen them since Christmas. It will also give Penny a chance to go and see her friend who lives in the same town. Then it will be back on the decorating roundabout! We are nearly finished. Hopefully two more weekends will see it finished. We then need to go and chose some new carpet and then we will be done and I can spend more time papercrafting! Hope you have a good weekend, whatever you are up to.

I like fussy cutting too - very relaxing :) Nice hair do, hope things calm down for you soon and you get that decorating finished!

I envy you the fussy cutting - I'm terrible at it - guess the arthritis in the fingers has something to do with that. Enjoy your visit.

Love the cut and new style! I am trying to let mine just grow so I have plenty of options of what to do with it for the Beast's wedding in June. I definitely will be getting some color very soon.

Great new haircut, and fabulous layout! I love the bright colors which are certainly needed around here right now. Good luck with the decorating; it is so time-consuming.
