A piece of paper I bought, actually in Las Vegas, that had the map of Yosemite on and the word block in the bottom left corner. I also added a map from one of the free Yosemite guides we had and hen journalled onto the piece of paper backing the photo. I dug out some bakers twine and used that too!
This is based on a Shimelle sketch with two blocks of paper to balance the two photos. I was able to incorporate the tickets we had for the Valley Floor Tour, making them into a pocket in which I am storing the free Valley Shuttle Map we were given. The journalling card is from a design by Miss Smith ( I made quite of a few of these -they are great fun to make and really useful to have!).
And here is a close-up of the embellishment cluster in the bottom right corner. Lots of stickers, button, bakers twin and some punched strips.
I have been busy over the weekend with a couple of other pages - one for my California book, the other not! I will pop them up soon.
We went over the Hemel on Saturday morning to see my Mum early for Mothering Sunday. Penny came with us and we had a very pleasant couple of hours, chatting, drinking coffee and eating doughnuts and cinnamon twists!
Ben came home Saturday afternoon and Hugh, Ben and I went to Basildon and did a bit of light shopping! We then spent the evening as a family watching a DVD which was lovely. We also had a beautiful lemon cake to eat which Penny had made me early for Mothering Sunday!
On the day itself Hugh cooked breakfast for me and I had a wonderful gift set of Royal Jelly products from Penny. Ben has ordered me the final Twighlight DVD, so I have that to look forward too! After a Sunday dinner of roast lamb we took Ben to the station and once we returned I spent the rest of the afternoon scrapbooking. A lovely weekend :)

Love that second page....especially the cluster of embellishments.
It's lovely to be able to go back and relive that sunshine with a few new pages..and these have everything: the story, the memorabilia, the cute embellishments..
I'm in love with the first page; love how you combined memorabilia with your great photo. Yosemite is a great place!
So nice to see your happy event-filled pages! I really like the addition of the map with your photo and journalling.
Love the use of the Yosemite brochure/map and the embellishment cluster on the 2nd one. It sounds like a very lovely weekend :)
I love that view of Yosemite!

They look wonderful Becky. Love that you were able to include memorabilia. I'm thinking we need to go back there - we went pre-digital. :)
