What a busy time!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently! Last weekend was absolutely exhausting, but very satisfying as Ben is now moved into his lovely new rented house. He is no longer with Rachel, very sad, but his decision, and this is a new start for him.

We had two very long days and lots of walking up and down stairs moving him out of his second floor flat (apartment) with no lift (elevator)!
Here he is standing proudly outside the front of his house with his new car! One of the reasons for moving was to get somewhere where he could park his car, as at his flat he had to park a 10 minute walk away.
And here is his living room, with Monster Cat in situ! He was thrilled with his new toy lol!

I have a new boss at work and we took her out to lunch on her second day. Here is a photo of me with my colleagues and my soon to be ex boss (but no photo of the new boss)!
Yvonne, (my soon to be ex boss) is on the left, then Di, me and Brenda. We had a lovely meal and hopefully made Karen feel welcome.

On the health news, Hugh's Mum is doing well and has been moved to a hospital closer to home in preparation for returning home in the future. It is nice as my father-in-law can now go and visit her and spent a happy time with her two weeks ago celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary. At 91 years old the visit to the other hospital was too much for him.

My Mum has been very poorly. She had been slowly recovering from shingles and then fell up the stairs and hit her head and got whiplash and a black eye. This was followed very quickly with an extremely bad chest infection that landed her in hospital for 5 days. She is now back home and we are going to visit her tomorrow as it is her birthday. However, I think it will be the first birthday where we don't take photos as she says that she looks 104! Anyway, happy birthday for tomorrow Mum and here is a photo of you not looking 104!
Hope to be back soon to join in with Alexa's Simply a Moment. Have a happy and healthy weekend everyone!

Wow, Becky, that is a LOT of things to deal with. So sorry to hear that your mom has had such a tough time. Here's hoping that she enjoys her birthday in spite of feeling so banged up.

And I just love that cat that you knitted for Ben. I wondered about his move and whether or not it included his girlfriend. Sad about the breakup, but glad that it was his decision.

Have a great weekend! xo
