Frosty Festivities Inspiration Number 2

There has been so much inspiration on Jennifer's blog this weekend. I don't like to pick out favourites as it seems unfair, but I did like this guest post from Julie Kirk.

One of the inspiration ideas from this post was to 'Stencil all over the background of a layout or project'.

So that is what I decided to do! I didn't have a 12x12 stencil in the shape I wanted, stars, so the first thing I did was to create one using my Cricut.

I then sponged Versamark through all the stars as I had decided to emboss the patter onto the card. I chose silver and gold embossing powder - the gold worked better, but I still liked the effect.
And then it was just a case of creating my layout on top of the stencilled pattern.
I am enjoying getting my Christmas 201 photos scrapped this weekend!

I'll be back later with another project inspired by the blog event. Hope you are having a relaxing weekend!

Love how your layout turned out...and that you could make your own layout.

Ooh, fabulous giant stencil! I love all those gold stars across the background. I like the trees you have clustered around the other elements too! Thank you so much for joining in the Frosty Festivities challenge! x

I love how it turned out - I think the silver makes the gold stand out. Great idea using a homemade stencil.
