Hello again!

Well, I've not been here for a while! Sorry about the long gap between posts - I'm really enjoying my job, but shattered when I get home and after cooking tea I have just been madly knitting to get some baby clothes knitted for my niece's birthday as she was having a new baby doll!

The weekends have been busy too. Last weekend my Mum and Dad popped down for a cup of coffee mid morning and ended up staying for lunch and not leaving until 3.30pm! It was a glorious day and we sat in the garden christening our new parasol.

Sunday was then spent doing all the jobs we hadn't got done on Saturday and I just didn't get any time to do any scrapbooking.

On Tuesday I went to Wendy's for our monthly crop. However, she has been having a tough week, so instead of taking scrapbooking stuff I took my colouring and we sat and coloured and chatted together which was really nice.
This weekend is of course a Bank Holiday weekend. Yesterday I went out with Wendy for the day and we went to Holland on Sea where she spent all her school holidays staying with her grandparents. We had the best weather of the weekend and walked for miles along the seafront, stopping to take photos, chatting and then ended up in Frinton where we found a cafe and had lunch before walking back. We got back just as the rain started!

Today Hugh and I have been clearing out Ben's old bedroom ready to redecorate it for Penny to move into. It is the larger of the two rooms and as Ben now has his own house I don't feel as if we are 'getting rid of him' by changing his room! Penny did ask him if he minded and he said not at all and he was surprised she had waited this long to move in!

So tomorrow I am really hoping to spend the afternoon in my craft room and have something to share with you later in the week! The best news though is that I have been offered a permanent position at Basildon Hospital, which I am really pleased about!

Hope you are having an enjoyable weekend and if you live over here - have a lovely Bank Holiday Monday tomorrow!

Congratulations on the job offer - you've definitely worked hard this summer & deserve it! Looks like y'all have had some beautiful weather there! I scrapped a little last weekend, then pulled out some coloring, too, while I visited with a friend. Hope you have a fabulous week!

Congratulations on the new post! It's so wonderful that this new career seems to fit you so well. Leaving the old job turned out to be a blessing in disguise (or maybe just a blessing!)

Congratulations on the new job! Sadly a very wet bank holiday here so lots of TV, reading and for me, scrapping, so not all bad then!

Congratulations on the job. Well done on finding all the hunt pieces. Finding time for scrapping and hanging out with friends is always tricky - well done on fitting those in too.
