Spotlight Sunday - Ben!

A day late, but better late than never, here is my post for this week.

This week the spotlight is on my son Ben! We celebrated his 28th birthday last week - 28! Where does the time go! His actual birthday was on the Saturday and Amy (his girlfriend) had arranged for his birthday present a 'tiger experience' at Paradise Wildlife Park.He absolutely loved it - especially getting to feed the tiger.
Can't wait to make a scrapbook page of this!

On the Sunday we were invited to their house for a birthday lunch. We collected my parents on the way and spent a lovely afternoon enjoying sitting in their garden enjoying the sunshine, food and company.

Ben had also invited Colin and his girlfriend. Ben and Colin have been friends since they first met at Mother and Toddler Group when Ben was 3 and Colin 2. It is such an enduring friendship that they actually look upon each other as brothers.

Colin made Ben his birthday cake - oh my gosh! What a load of chocolatey goodness that was!

Amy had bought some modelling balloons and we had fun trying to make animals (mostly dogs!) and then Hugh made a hat which we all had to try on!
It was an incredibly fun and relaxing afternoon. Ben and Amy make such a lovely couple. Ben has recently started a  new job - super proud of him! He is now a project manager (may have got the actual job title wrong there lol!) for Amazon working in IT on things like Alexa. He is now based in Cambridge so he and Amy are looking to move from Reading closer to central Cambridge. This will also mean that they will live closer to us (and Amy's parents) so that makes it even better!

I hope that whatever you did last weekend you managed to relax and enjoy yourself too!

That's such a happy collage! Just look at those smiley faces ... It will be so nice to have your son closer, and well done to him on his new job.
