Over on Sarah's Cards Blogspot, Rachael shared a wonderful class which I couldn't resist having a go at last weekend. I didn't use a kit (gasp!) as the perfect papers were ones that had come free with Scrapbook Magazine! I don't tend to use the papers that come free with the magazine and pass them over to either my niece or to a friend who uses them for making charity cards. However, these 'Nitwit' papers were perfect and worked just as I had hoped.
I had a slight hiccup with my border edge punch and if you look carefully you can see down the sides that I ended up doing a double cut and it 'ate' it a bit. However, I am not too worried as I still really like the end result.
I used my 'Sew Easy' again to do the stitching round the edge. I could have got my sewing machine out, but to be honest I really enjoy the handstitching and find it quite relaxing.
If you like taking classes, then have a go at this one - I really enjoyed it!
