An anniversary to remember

As you know, my parents' celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on 9th June and Hugh and I our 25th on the 30th May and so we had the most wonderful joint party on the 3rd June.

We had invited lots of family and long time friends. Unfortunately they couldn't all join us as quite a few were away on holiday with it being the long bank holiday weekend. However, we still had quite a houseful and to my Mum's huge surprise her youngest bridesmaid and cousin, Jane, who she didn't know I had invited! Our best man travelled up from Plymouth with his wife and son to be with us and we had friends and family we hadn't seen for a few months so it was lovely to catch up with them all.
The dining room set out with all the food, ready for our visitors!
Hugh and me before everyone arrived.
Mum and Dad (very rare to get a photo of my Dad smiling!)
Ben and his girlfriend Rachel chatting with my Dad, cousin Jane and her husband Richard.
A better shot of Jane, Mum's youngest bridesmaid. Her other 2 bridesmaids were her sister, Peta and my Dad's sister, Sandra.
And here are the bridesmaids on the day!
Penny chatting with Peta and her daughter (my cousin) Helen.
Mum and Dad on their wedding day.

I've got a few more photos to share, but I will do that another day! Thanks for looking!

What a lovely post! The photos are all special ones (and that feast you had laid out looks pretty memorable too). A day to remember.
