Some layouts to share

Last weekend I managed to get some time in the conservatory (my scrapping space) to do some layouts. I am slowly working my way through photos from 2013 - it is really nice looking back at all the happy memories of last year.
I actually started this layout the last time I went to Wendy's to scrap. I just took one kit with me and worked with that and I enjoyed not having too much stash to wade through! I hadn't done the journalling on this one and it had been sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks, so I was glad to get it finished.

This one I based it on one Shimelle's Sketch to Scrapbook Page number 33. The idea is to use a patterned paper and allow the pattern to show. I have had this paper in my stash forever with the idea of cutting out the paisley bits and using them on a layout as embellishments. However, I never had the right layout! I actually quite like how it looks using it this way - it is not too busy. I am pleased with the arrow paperclips - Hugh found them for me when we were last in Ikea!

Life is still pretty stressful here - family matters which are slowly sorting themselves, but it is not leaving me much time to myself, which I could do with. I relish the time I take every day for a walk - it is me time, with no distractions and gives me time to think. I am hoping that by the time February arrives life might be a bit more settled. Here's hoping!

Glad to see you are still OK, and finding time for yourself in the midst of everything else sounds very nurturing. I do like your framing - really pulls the eye in.

Yep, walking gives you time to think, and scrapbooking gives you time to think about something nice. it's good to see you managing a bit of both

So glad your walks are providing some you time! Great layouts - I like the way you added the frame on one photo in that first layout.

Glad to hear you've found a bit of "me" time to scrap and walk. Here's hoping the stressful situations will soon be resolved. I love the way you've used the frames in both layouts.

I'm so glad you're feeling a little less stressed and creating such lovely layouts. I so enjoy seeing handwriting on layouts
