Revisiting Italy

I had great fun looking through my Italian holiday photos again over the Easter weekend and starting to scrap some of them.

I used some Alison Kreft papers to make this layout.

This layout was made using the kit I put together myself with some added cut apart cards which tied in with the colours.

A close up of the journalling.

I've still got quite a bit of my yellow/blue kit to use up, but I think it will work really well with some more of my Italy photos.

And finally the close up of the journalling on the last layout.

One of the best things about scrapbooking is being able to relive the happy times whilst recording them for the future. Great stuff.

I just read an article about how one of the best things about a vacation is the preparation and anticipation. I think reliving it to scrapbook it is equally rewarding!

The blues and yellows really suit Italy! Though I also like the muted ones in your top page too. Anticipation and recollection as well as the enjoyment of the experience as it happens - scrapping has it all.

I especially like that first one - the colours just really pop on it.

I always enjoy seeing your vacation layouts - so full of layers & colors & happy photos. I think scrapping gives us the chance to enjoy the vacation again as we create layouts!

Oh such pretty sunny colours, your photos and journaling show how much fun you had. Agreeing with Sian - reliving the memories whilst saving them for the future is a great reason to scrap.

This reminds me that I should do a book for Barcelona. I took many stunning photos there, but have not been able to face them until recently.
