Project Life - July and September

As I mentioned in my previous Project Life post, I had completed July but forgotten to blog about it! I took the photos Sunday afternoon before it got dark (eugh, end of British Summer Time), but to be perfectly honest I couldn't be bothered to get all the cards out of the pockets, so I do apologise for the glare on the photos. I will make sure when I do October that I remember to leave the cards out of the pockets before photographing them!
For my July pages I actually used the Collect  photo app for most of the photographs. I quite liked this idea for a change and if I do PL next year I may do it more frequently.
For October I was back to my normal way of recording the month - choosing my photos and printing them out on my Canon Selphy.
Most of these photos you have probably already seen as I have shared them as either my favourite photos or on other blog posts! I am trying to choose different photos for PL from those I then do full 12x12 pages with, but with the graduation ones I just had to use these are they are my very favourite ones!
Well, I had quite a scrappy weekend, as I met up with Wendy and Sue on Friday for our monthly crafty get together and then as Hugh was away on business all weekend I spent Saturday and Sunday afternoons in my craft room. So, I will be back later in the week to share my five favourite photos from September all scrapped on their own pages.

Hope you had a good weekend and that if you are on half term this week that you have a nice time - oh how I miss school holidays!

Project Life for August

Oops! A bit behind with my PL posts and I don't think I've posted July so will photograph that later in the week and upload it. Spent Sunday evening playing catchup so with no more ado here are my two pages for August.
This is the left hand page - a mix of PL cards and some 6x6 papers I had. Penny treated me to a pack of puffy heart stickers from M&S and they were perfect for this spread.
And this is the right hand page. I also went through a little basket which is on my desk which I am putting embellishments into when I get to the end of a kit. It seems to be working quite well as I am using them up on other layouts.

Celebrating Hugh's big birthday today so back later in the week with some photos!

Project Life for June

I finally got around to completing my June PL pages at the end of July! Now I need to try and catch up with July's pages!

So here they are. I did four pages altogether for June as I had quite a bit going on!

I wrote this post and scheduled it before I started to work at the hospital, so I will do a post in real time soon to let you know how I am getting on!

Project Life - May 2015

I've only just managed to do May and it is the beginning of July, but here it is in all its glory!
Left hand page
Right hand page

I purchased a complete PL Azure core kit from the selling page on Facebook. Don't think I will end up using all the cards, but liked using them for this spread anyway.

Project Life - April 2015

I love having Friday afternoon's off! I have done my cleaning and then spent the next hour catching up with my Project Life monthly spread for April.
This is the right hand page (sorry it is a little skewy!)
And this is the left hand page.

I am really enjoying doing this monthly. I used to keep a diary, but have not done so for a couple of years, apart from when we are on holiday, so it is nice to have this as a record of what I have done over the past couple of years.

Are you up to anything this weekend? We have Slimming World first thing tomorrow morning, then Penny and I are going girly shopping which I am looking forward to. The rest of the weekend is free, so I can see more scrapbooking coming up! Have a nice weekend, whatever you are up to.

March's Project Life

It's taken me ages to get around to it, but here is my double page spread for March.

I found some Project Life cards in my stash and used them this time, adding some washi tape and dragonfly and flower embellishments which I have had for just about forever!

And now April is over and I need to make a start on that! Will be choosing my photos over the coming week and hope to work on my layout over next weekend - love it that it is a Bank Holiday weekend!

Project Life Catch Up

I meant to post my pages monthly but forgot to do January's, so here are Jan and Feb for you to have a look at.

First off, here is my intro page for the year.
And here is the left hand page for January

and the right hand page!
I didn't have much going on in January so had quite a few filler cards. These photos were taken with the cards in the page protector which does result in some glare, so when I took February's I left them on top of the protector.

February saw us having a visit to Ben and Amy, a hospital appointment and minor op for me, Hugh spent the weekend with Penny in Canterbury and I had a day out to a craft fair with Wendy and Sue. And, our lounge was finally finished!
These also are not the best photos! I have had to use my phone to take them as Penny has borrowed my point and shoot camera for a university assignment! At least I have been able to share these pages with you though!

Project Life 2014 the final four months

So, here I am with the final four months for 2014.

September was a sad month for us as Hugh's Dad passed away. I found it really difficult to do this month, but didn't want to miss one and also felt that it needed to be recorded. I did hidden journalling in a fold over card which is inserted next to Dad's photo.

October, being Hugh's birthday month, called for an insert page to hold the extra photos and journalling.

And of course December needed four pages to take all the photos and journalling for the Christmas period!

I've tried each month to have some things which are the same - the weather, what I am currently reading, watching and listening to, and the photocollage from Collectapp. I like this little bit of continuity through the book and if I haven't done much in a month then at least that is three pockets that can be filled!

I am looking forward to doing this again monthly in 2015 and I intend to share my pages on a monthly basis this year and not leave it to the end of the year!

Project Life May to August 2014

And I'm back again to share the next four months of my 2014 Project Life album.

On some of the photos I used the Rhonna Farrer app and did journalling direct onto them. All photos were printed using my Selphy (have I mentioned that I LOVE my Selphy!).
In June, as it was my birthday month, I had extra photos again, so added an extra page between the two I usually use.

In July, as we had our holiday to Crete, I had even more photos I wanted to share, so used a larger insert in between my usual pages.

In August I was back to my usual two page layout.

Thanks for looking and I will be back again soon with my final four months of 2014.

Project Life

So, in March last year I decided that I really liked the idea of Project Life, I had loads of cards but I hadn't done anything with them! I didn't think that I could do it weekly, but did like the idea of a monthly project, so that is what I decided to do.

I immediately did January and February in order to catch up, and I have to admit that I have done each month fairly regularly. I finished December off last week and thought that I would share what I have done!

So, here are the first four months of 2014 - sorry for the reflection on some of the pages - they are incredibly difficult to photograph!

As we went away in April, I inserted an extra page to take the extra photos I wanted to showcase

I'll be back again soon to share the next four months. Are you doing Project Life this year? Will you do it weekly or monthly if you are doing it? I am definitely doing it monthly again.
